EQMM Publishes Issue for Katrina Relief

Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine has announced that they will be publishing a New Orleans-themed issue of the magazine this fall. The street date of the November 2006 edition immediately follows the one year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina’s devastating landfall.

EQMM
’s publisher, Dell Magazines, has announced that all advertising revenues from this special hurricane-recovery issue will be donated to organizations that have rebuilding or relief efforts ongoing in the areas affected by Katrina.

The issue includes short stories by John Edward Ames, O’Neil De Noux, Tony Dunbar, Tony Fennelly, Barbara Hambly, Greg Herren, Edward D. Hoch, Dick Lochte, William Dylan Powell, Sarah Shankman and
Julie Smith and span Nola’s modern history, from pre-Civil War days to the post-Katrina present.

Ten of the issue’s authors, including poetry contributor James Sallis, hail from the beleaguered city. Several lost homes or property in the storm.
